Two days after a man was struck by an RER A and seriously injured at Nanterre-Université station on Thursday November 14, the RATP security agent responsible for his fall on the rails was indicted, according to the information communicated by the Nanterre public prosecutor's office and relayed by BFMTV.
The chosen leader is that of “voluntary violence followed by incapacity for more than 8 days aggravated by the fact that the acts were committed by a person entrusted with a public service mission and in a place intended for access to a means of collective passenger transport”. The Nanterre public prosecutor's office finally decided not to retain “l’intention d’homicide”specifying that the investigations carried out during the investigation for attempted murder opened a few hours after the facts “made it possible to clarify legal qualification”.
RATP agent placed under judicial supervision
Thursday, November 14, a young man aged 19 fell on the tracks “during an intervention by an RATP security team”relates the RATP press release. He was then “hit by a train arriving at the platform”. Although his vital prognosis is not “not committed”he was seriously injured during the incident. An agent from the Network Protection and Security Group (GPSR) would be responsible for the fall on the track which would have led to the collision with the RER.
According to the prosecution, “investigations will continue within this new legal framework to determine more precisely the circumstances of the action and whether it was voluntary or not”. After being placed in police custody shortly after the events, the agent in question was placed under judicial supervision on Saturday November 16 and is subject to a professional and contact ban with the victim and her relatives.
