He said about his possible first goal for the DFB team: “Of course I don’t want to go in there under pressure and say that I absolutely have to score my first goal now. It will come or it won’t come.” However, a goal would be “something special and would really round everything off.”

The striker also joked when he raved about Musiala and Wirtz: “When I see the boys, sometimes I don’t think that I’m a fantastic footballer. But everyone has different qualities.”
