Taking a broad view, we see that high pressures are retreating further south of France. This will favor the descent of a low pressure area from the far north of the country.
A weak disturbance will even reach the northern half with a sky still very cloudy or even overcast. Light to moderate rain will occur in fairly cool air. The feeling actually appears to be unappreciable.
By the evening and night from Sunday to Monday, the rains could sometimes be stormy towards the Channel coast and more broadly Hauts-de-France.
In the southwest, the gray weather will become more and more present compared to recent days. There too, we could observe some rainy spells although rare and rather between now and the following evening and night towards the north of New Aquitaine. It is in the south-east that the conditions will ultimately be rather appreciable.
More and more agitated
This beginning of change in weather will be confirmed and will become more pronounced between now and Monday and Tuesday. Indeed, a depression will appear in the northern half of the country, particularly for Tuesday.
A sometimes strong gust of wind will also be present with gusts that can reach 80-85km/h inland. Also, regular precipitation will occur. They may occur in the form of showers by the end of the day and night from Tuesday to Wednesday.
Behind this depression, cold air will appear, favoring snow on all the reliefs. We will therefore be watching for the first fairly significant snowfalls in the mountains. In the plains, snow showers could be observed from Wednesday onwards, locally and with very difficult and unpredictable weather.
The Thursday day will see a second depression appear but this time it should cross France from west to east. A conflict of air masses will then be present, cutting the country in two. In fact, snow could fall on many French plains with ground holding.
