This weekend the time has come: the Breda artist Daphne Schrijver will shine on national television in the program Sterren op het Doek. In this episode, which will be broadcast on Saturday, Daphne portrays none other than singer Anita Meyer, and the program also includes an in-depth interview with the artist.
The broadcast follows her creative process and shows how she uses her signature style to capture the character and versatility of Anita Meyer. “It is an honor to work with an icon like Anita Meyer and to capture her in a way that reflects her versatility,” says Schrijver enthusiastically.
Daphne Schrijver, who lives in Breda, has a background in classical painting techniques and has developed her own characteristic style, which stands out because of the size of her work and the rich use of color. Daphne’s work has received international acclaim; Her paintings can be found in private collections all over the world, including the United States, Spain and Germany. The paintings are all made in her studio in Breda where she also gives workshops and painting lessons.
