As against the Netherlands, national coach Julian Nagelsmann relies on Hoffenheim keeper Oliver Baumann, who is playing his second international match, in goal. Nagelsmann had already announced that he wanted to “be considerate” after the many English weeks.

However, Florian Wirtz is in the starting line-up after recovering from an infection and forms the offensive line with Jamal Musiala and Kai Havertz behind center forward Tim Kleindienst.

“We have already said that we want to stick to a certain tribe,” said Nagelsmann before the game RTL. After two younger players, Angelo (Stiller, d. R.) and Pavlo (Aleksandar Pavlovic), are missing due to injuries. With the three in the tenth position (Musiala, Wirtz and Havertz) and those sitting on the bench, we already have good quality. Tim (Kleindienst) is starting again at the front because he did very well in Bosnia. I think that today against a deep opponent we need strikers who are strong in the head and can’t just play around the box.”

Regardless of the load control, the DFB selection, which has already qualified for the quarter-finals, wants to secure group victory in the Nations League with a success. The guests are at the bottom of the table in Group A3 with just one point.
