Tanzania won 2-0 the first half of their match against Ethiopia as part of the 5th day of the CAN 2025 qualifiers.

Ethiopia and Tanzania face each other this afternoon in a decisive match of the 5th day of the CAN 2025 qualifiers. The two teams are without key players in their tactical systembut hope to do everything to keep alive their dream of qualifying for CAN 2025.

Tanzania started the game at the Stade des Martyrs de la Pentecost in the DRC with all their offensive assets, dominating the opening match. It paid off for the Taifa Stars early on, as they managed to break the deadlock first. It only took a quarter of an hour for the Tanzanians to open the score.

A goal from Simon Msuva on an assist from Novatus Miroshi in the 15th minute. Behind, in unbearable pressure for the Ethiopians, Tanzania managed to make the break at the half-hour mark, the second goal having been scored by Feisal Salum.

The match ended with a two-goal lead to zero in favor of Tanzania.

Tanzania sets foot in Morocco!

This victory allows Tanzania to regain second place in Group H with 7 points, behind the DRC (12). The Leopards, already qualified, face Guinea this evening in Abidjan and this meeting will determine the final ranking at the end of the 5th day of these CAN 2025 qualifiers.
