Following the international hype, Lindt has also released a Swiss version of Dubai chocolate. The sale started on Saturday at 9:30 a.m. sharp in the Lindt Museum. Some people had been queuing since 1:30 a.m. to get their hands on one of the 500 tablets.
We were there for you and wanted to know why people wait so long for a chocolate and what the buyers do with the limited-edition sweet afterwards. Some of the panels that were sold for the first time in Germany last week are being sold on eBay for several hundred francs:

The so-called “Dubai chocolate” has been trending on social media for several months now. Lindt & Sprüngli recently brought a strictly limited number of its own version into stores in Germany – and the rush was huge. People camped in front of the shops for half the night, some stood in line for two to three hours and then had to be put off. A total of a thousand numbered plaques, 100 per city, were issued and they sold out in no time.
