Dubai chocolate from Lindt in Switzerland: This is how sales started

The first 500 bars of Dubai chocolate were sold at the Lindt Museum on Saturday. We were there.

Following the international hype, Lindt has also released a Swiss version of Dubai chocolate. The sale started on Saturday at 9:30 a.m. sharp in the Lindt Museum. Some people had been queuing since 1:30 a.m. to get their hands on one of the 500 tablets.

The so-called “Dubai chocolate” has been trending on social media for several months now. Lindt & Sprüngli recently brought a strictly limited number of its own version into stores in Germany – and the rush was huge. People camped in front of the shops for half the night, some stood in line for two to three hours and then had to be put off. A total of a thousand numbered plaques, 100 per city, were issued and they sold out in no time.
