The Racingman took sole control of the DP World Tour final, signing a superb card of 65 (-7) this Friday. With a total of -9 after 36 holes, he is ahead of Rory McIlroy (-8).
Enough to place yourself ideally in the fight for the title and access to the PGA Tour this weekend. With the best card of the day (-7), without conceding the slightest bogey, Antoine Rozner, 31, takes the sole lead at Jumeirah Golf Estates ahead of stars like Rory McIlroy and Tyrrel Hatton (-8). Joaquin Niemann (-7) or Rasmus Højgaard (-6) are in ambush.
At the end of this second lap, Rozner is in virtual 2nd place in the Race to Dubai. He is therefore well on his way to gaining access to the PGA Tour this weekend. It remains to negotiate the last 36 holes well. Rory McIlroy remains the favorite to win the European Tour for the third consecutive year and the sixth time since the start of his career.
With 2,000 points offered to the winner, McIlroy only needs a place in the top 10 to secure a new crown and thus equal Spanish legend Severiano Ballesteros.
