Jake Paul has won the much-hyped boxing camp in Texas against boxing legend Mike Tyson. The 58-year-old Tyson lasted eight rounds against Paul, who was more than 30 years his junior, but after a unanimous decision the victory went to the popular YouTube star.
Tyson’s professional boxing career ended in 2005. He last entered the ring for an exhibition bout four years ago.
The match could be followed live on Netflix, but there were disruptions during the long-awaited boxing match. Subscribers complained on social media about the poor image quality and other technical glitches.
Mike Tyson started the camp very fiercely and Jake Paul had to take a number of heavy blows. After the first rounds it became clear that Mike Tyson is no longer a young foal. Things were clearly getting tougher for the 58-year-old and YouTuber Jake Paul took advantage of his better physical condition and took control of the match. Tyson may have lasted eight rounds, but the statistics clearly show why the jury unanimously decided in favor of Jake Paul, 31 years younger. With 278 punches of which 78 hit compared to 97 punches of which 18 hit, the difference between the two was very clear.
Many fans react disappointed after the mediocre boxing match. They clearly expected more from this highly hyped match. “I feel like I’ve been watching eight rounds of absolutely nothing,” he said on social media.
