The starting lineup of the Polish national team was announced several dozen minutes before the referee’s first whistle in Friday’s match against Portugal. Unfortunately, at the last minute Michał Probierz had to change his plans.
Sebastian Szymański was originally advised to play. However, the Fenerbahce Istanbul attacking midfielder is very unlucky because he suffered an injury during the pre-match warm-up.
The injury turned out to be so serious that Szymański was dropped from the starting eleven. It is not known how long the 25-year-old’s break will be, but in an emergency mode, coach Probierz decided to give Mateusz Bogusz a chance.

For Bogusz, this is only the second performance with an eagle on his chest. The Los Angeles FC player made his debut in September, and a month later he was omitted by the coach, which was a bit of a surprise.
Bogusz is one of the best players in the current season of the American Major Soccer League. His achievements are 16 goals and 7 assists. Touchstone hopes that the promising footballer will prove his worth in the senior national team.
