IRVING, Texas — Mike Tyson vs. Jake Paul at AT&T Stadium in Arlington is only one day away.

Tyson, 58, took to the scales Thursday morning to show off his 228.4-pound physique in hopes of returning to the win column for the first time since 2003, with Paul, 27, coming in at 227.2 pounds. The weights weren’t released until the ceremonial weigh-in at the Toyota Factory on Friday evening, where, yes, Tyson slapped Paul.

“I didn’t even feel it. He’s angry. He’s an angry little elf. Mike Tyson, I thought that was a cute slap, buddy, but tomorrow you’re getting knocked the f*ck out,” Paul shouted afterward.

“He hits like a b*tch! It’s personal now, it’s personal now! He must die!”

The road to the highly questionable event has been about as par for the course as one could expect. Originally set to take place in the home of the Dallas Cowboys in July, Tyson’s return to pro boxing was delayed when he suffered an ulcer flare-up that required emergency surgery. The event was rescheduled for Friday, with Paul battling former UFC welterweight Mike Perry in July in the interim.

Tyson has claimed to be better than ever since recovering and getting more time to prepare for Paul. The legendary “Iron Mike” has been calm and quiet interacting with the outspoken Paul during fight week and appears ready to fight.

Tyson is a +170 underdog at BetMGM while Paul is the -200 favorite against the former heavyweight champion who made his name as a knockout artist in the ’90s.

The big co-main event title rematch between Katie Taylor and Amanda Serrano precedes the heavyweight encounter. They will try to top their instant classic from 2022, which Taylor won via a competitive split decision. The matchup sees Taylor come in at 137.4 pounds and Serrano was also at 137.4.
