Leader of the World Rally Championship before the final round in Japan, Thierry Neuville will use a special helmet in the Land of the Rising Sun. Or as he calls it himself on his Instagram post: an Art Helmet.
« Introducing the latest Art Helmet of the season, a masterpiece painted with the soul of Japan by artist Tadaomi. This artistic headpiece pays homage to the beauty and symbolism of Japanese culture, fusing tradition with a bold splash of color and life. »
The Belgian describes the symbolism behind the decoration of this special helmet: “ The cherry blossom symbolizes renewal, hope and resilience. The design also incorporates motifs of Nishikigoi, the legendary Japanese fish representing perseverance and determination, as well as Sayagata, Seigaiha and Yagasuri motifs, which evoke waves, strength and luck. »
Neuville also indicates that this helmet will then be auctioned for charity and all profits will go to a Japanese association chosen in collaboration with the artist.
Rally Japan begins on November 21.
