The other possibility, the 3-5-2, would send Castagne to the right and De Cuyper to the left, with a defensive trio Debast-Faes-Theate and Trossard in support of the Openda-Lukaku duo. Domenico Tedesco had to resolve his problem on the left side and it will be interesting how he animate all this. The big surprise of this team composition is ultimately the tenure of Arne Engels.
The Celtic Glasgow midfielder will start his first match for the Devils, having played the equivalent of 25 minutes in two matches. He will accompany Amadou Onana in the middle and seems to have, for once, taken the advantage over Orel Mangala, who starts on the bench although he had very often associated with Onana in the past. Note, finally, the package of Roméo Lavia.
On the Italian side, no surprise, however. As expected, it is the Interist Barella who replaces the injured Pellegrini, in support of Retegui in Spalletti’s 3-5-1-1. Donnarumma remains well in goal, despite some difficulties at club. Compared to the first match, Calafiori, injured, is replaced in defense by Alessandro Buongiorno (Naples). Ricci, also injured, is replaced by Rovella.
