Coincidence or intention? The advertising master Niclas Matthei presents himself on Instagram with a new look: with a mustache that is reminiscent of Adolf Hitler, at the same time he appeals to his followers with a strange message:

Matthei leaves it completely open what Matthei’s intention with these words is and why, of all things, it takes a mustache in the style of Adolf Hitler. But he remained true to himself with the rest of his outfit: the parking offender fright presents himself with a high-visibility vest, bicycle helmet and headband, with which he gained fame beyond Germany’s borders.

There is one thing above all in the comments under Mattheis Reel: lack of understanding. Jochen Arenz, the mayor of the municipality of Bad Doberan, writes: “I had a lot of fun and joy with you in Bad Doberan. I now believe that you have changed a lot and that the fictional character “advertising master” is no longer good for you (…).

User fh.security becomes clearer: “WHY THE HITLER BEARD?” Murphyvinc writes: “You still have time to delete this.” And vnx.urbex.de says: “Oha, middle name Adolf or what?” And nintemann.patrick writes: “Oh no, the beard! It hasn’t been in fashion since 45.”

Other users have the impression that Matthei’s beard also makes him potentially liable to prosecution: Txm.jl says: “I’ll report it to the Federal Office for the Protection of the Constitution”, kathi1109marie910 suspects: “I think there’ll be a report coming in soon.”

The 18-year-old achieved great notoriety through a documentary by the German news portal “Spiegel”, which was released in February 2024. The article showed how Matthei reported illegal parking not only in his home state of Saxony-Anhalt, but throughout Germany. His goal: report illegal parking in every German city.

Thanks to his bizarre hobby, the “advertising master” also became a star on social media. But many are not enthusiastic about his flood of advertisements: The mayor of Gräfenhainichen, Matthei’s hometown, criticized the fact that his constant advertisements keep the entire public order office on its toes and thus tie up important resources: “99.9 percent of the advertisements have no the quality that they could be processed in court. Maybe something will come out of a handful of ads.” In addition, his behavior would cause a lot of unrest among the population.
