This Wednesday, November 13, 2024, the
Girondins de Bordeaux played the late match of the 2nd day of National 2 Groupe B outside facing the club Vendée Poiré Football. The meeting was played at Idonnière stadium.
The players of Bruno Irles were keen to win this late match to continue their climb up the rankings. Andy Carroll will, once again, show the way forward from the third minute of play. On a serve from Yanis Merdji, the English striker will score a sumptuous goal on a shot which will lodge under the goalkeeper's bar Vendée. The Poiré players will still propose and move forward to try to shake up the Bordeaux team. There will be many incursions but Jean Grillot and his partners are watching. Only small gaps, like several approximate restarts from Adrien Louveau, who found a place in the axis of defense. In the middle, Thomas Trazié is rather discreet, Emeric Depussay is more active, even if he has a lot of waste. On the offensive level, Soufiane Bahassa brings a lot and plays to his qualities. For Amadou Diallo it's more complicated. The winger hits the left side and combines with Trichard, but he contributes little offensively because his actions do not go to the end. Bordeaux returns to the locker room with this goal in advance.
In the second half, the Vendée Poiré Football club, however, posed a little more problems for the Girondins, being more incisive, forcing Lassana Diabaté to make two decisive saves, including a save on a shot under the bar. But the people of Bordeaux retain a certain control of the debates. They could even double the stake but the last move is not good. Amadou Diallo will miss a face to face with the goalkeeper, while a few minutes earlier, it is Soufiane Bahassa who inherits a ball just in front of the goal but misses, undoubtedly surprised. In the end, the Navy and White will manage this end of the match, despite a few small scares at the end, and will validate their return to great form with this tenth match in a row without defeat.
Bordeaux won 1-0 and moved up to 5th place, but with the same number of points as Les Herbiers and Blois, 3rd and 4th respectively.
