This Thursday, November 14 is expected to be the coldest day of the week in France with temperatures locally dropping below 0°C.
Get covered! For several days, the cold has returned to France. This Thursday, temperatures continue to drop, to the point of making this day the coldest of the week. In question: the presence of a cold drop phenomenon.
“The anticyclone will retreat towards the British Isles, letting fairly cold air infiltrate central Europe, forming a depression, synonymous with unstable weather,” explains our colleagues from La Chaîne Météo.
However, certain territories should suffer more than others from this new drastic drop in temperatures.
negative temperatures are expected
According to Météo-France forecasts, the regions of Grand-Est and Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes will be particularly affected in the coming days, where the minimums will exceed the symbolic bar of 0°C for the day of this Thursday November 14.
Thus, Météo France predicts “small white frosts are possible from the southwest to the northeast, as well as in the Provençal hinterland” and which could drop to -2°C degrees in the morning, “locally under shelter”.
It will be -3°C in Chamonix, 1°C in Vichy and Saint-Flour, 0°C in Bonneval-sur-Arc and 3°C in Colmar. Furthermore, 4°C are expected in Rodez, 2°C in Puy-en-Velay, 3°C in Cahors, 3°C in Chaumont and 2°C in Saint-Etienne.
Note that temperatures should gradually rise from Friday in France. The weather will be “fairly generous” over the northern half for the end of the week,” explains Météo-France.
