The Final Phase of the Nitto ATP Finals eSeries began today, at the Inalpi Arena in Turin, the circuit played on Tennis Clash, the game chosen by the Federation to develop the eSportsFITP movement.
Eight players gained access to the Final Phase thanks to their ability in the various qualifying stages of the “Road to Turin”, the long journey which included three in-person qualifying tournaments, played on Italian territory, and 5 tournaments in -game.
The Final 8, made up of a Round Robin phase and the semi-finals, will take place in the FITP eSports corner inside the Fan Village of the Nitto ATP Finals, while the 2 finalists will have the opportunity to compete on the central court of the Inalpi Arena , the same surface where this week the 8 best singles players and the 8 best doubles pairs in the world are competing to become the Champion among Champions. The challenge to become champion of the Nitto ATP Finals eSeries will in fact be played between two of the decisive matches of the group stage of the Turin tournament, in front of over 12,000 spectators ready to create an atmosphere for the two challengers that they will hardly be able to forget.
All the matches of the Nitto ATP Finals eSeries take place on a “virtual” court which follows the features of the Inalpi Arena in every way, created specifically for by WildLife Studios, the publisher of the Tennis Clash game and partner of FITP on project development.
The eight finalists emerged from a long journey that involved 748 thousand participants, with 10 million matches played. Up for grabs is a prize pool of €10,000 (€6,000 to the first place winner while the remaining part is distributed, in a decreasing manner, to all the other 8 finalists) and an unforgettable experience.
To participate in the FITP eSports circuit you must be registered on the myFITP platform (my.fitp.it).
FITP eSports are one of the latest projects of the Italian Tennis and Padel Federation. The objective is to create a real federal movement that can complement the tournaments, championships and activities of the technical sector and members who practice tennis, padel, beach tennis and wheelchair tennis on courts throughout Italy.
ESports represent an extraordinary tool for interacting with the public because they break down physical distances thanks to the possibility of playing online, create moments of aggregation and promote inclusion. In fact, everyone can play without distinctions of gender, age and ability. The choice to use Tennis Clash as a gaming platform also goes in this direction, a free title for mobile devices, produced by Wildlife Studios. Simple to learn and use.
But FITP’s project is not limited to major events. All eSports users will be invited to register on the myFITP platform, thus creating a community of enthusiasts who will be able to compete in one-on-one matches, participate in online tournaments organized by FITP and climb the FITP eSports rankings to become the best player in Italy, dreaming of the blue eSports shirt.
