Grüsch and Davos: Two accidents at work

On Monday afternoon, two industrial accidents occurred within a few minutes. In Grüsch one person was injured by an explosion and in Davos one person got their hand caught in a cutter.

At around 1:50 p.m., a 27-year-old in Grüsch intended to shorten an iron pipe in a garage with a cutting disc. According to initial findings, the spark reached an as yet unknown substance, which ignited and caused a detonation. As a result, the man was seriously injured in the facial area and hands and had to be flown by Rega to a hospital in Zurich.

The Care Team Grischun was called in to look after employees present.

In both accidents at work, the Graubünden cantonal police have begun investigations to clarify the causes.
