November 8 is a special date for the Delon family. The reason? Alain Delon would have celebrated his 89th birthday. For the occasion, a symphonic film concert at the Palais des Congrès entitled Delon, the last samurai was organized in Paris in tribute to the actor who sadly died on August 18. Many artists as well as his two sons, Anthony and Alain-Fabien were gathered for this evening. And for two hours, several Cheetah films including Full sun, M. Klein, Zorro, The swimming pool, Borsalino or even Is Paris burning? were screened in front of an emotional audience. “It was very moving“, declared the eldest of the siblings, who was surrounded by his daughters, Loup and Liv, as well as their mother, Sophie Clerico. The latter confided to our colleagues that this evening was above all “for his audience” which according to him, is “most important”. “I think he was like all of us, very moved. People were there with their hearts.” he observed.
Alain-Fabien, who was accompanied by his partner, Laura Bensadoun, revealed that he had difficulty hiding his emotions: “I cried several times, continues Alain-Fabien, it was an evening worthy of my father, his work and his love for cinema. He was also for this project, before his death”, indicated the youngest of the family, before deploring the notable absence of his sister, Anouchka: “It would have been better if we had all come together for this tribute to our father and to support Alzheimer's research. It would have been nice for her to be there, especially since it's dad's birthday.”

Death of Alain Delon: this touching video of his son Anthony
On the occasion of his father's birthday, Anthony shared a special video on his Instagram account in tribute to the actor who died at the age of 88, whom he visited on numerous occasions in the Loiret. “After grinding his teeth a little, he understood the point… Love, resilience, and above all forgiveness. He knew like me that we cannot make up for lost time, but that we can make good use of the time given to us.” he wrote in the caption of the publication. And to continue: “We then decided to meet in Douchy, two Thursdays a month to “establish this tradition” and to exchange, to leave a trace of us, a discussion, in a filmed document. He did not leave on a Thursday , but on a Sunday I was there “Conversation between a father and his son”..”
