The prosecution requested a sentence of ineligibility for all defendants during the trial of the RN and Marine Le Pen.

The prosecution, which has not yet stated the sentences requested at the trial of Marine Le Pen and the National Rally, announced during its requisitions that it was demanding sentences of ineligibility against all the defendants, “modulated” in depending on each person's responsibilities. The prosecution requested five years in prison, two of which could be adjusted, and five years of ineligibility, against Marine Le Pen. It requires a firm fine of 2 million euros against the party.

Prosecutors requested that this sentence be accompanied by a “provisional execution”, that is to say that it apply immediately, even if they appeal. Such a sentence “would prohibit the defendants from running in future local or national elections,” said the prosecutor to the three-time presidential candidate sitting in the front row of the defendants. But “we are here in a judicial forum and the law applies to everyone”.
