22-year-old former Disney star Skai Jackson is expecting her first child with her partner, according to exclusive confirmation from PEOPLE. However, Jackson hasn’t identified her partner in public as of yet. Nevertheless, in an article published on November 12, Jackson told PEOPLE:
“I’m thrilled to begin this new chapter in my life — embracing motherhood and diving into new acting projects. My heart is so full!”
On August 14, the couple’s representatives informed TMZ that they were engaged and expecting a child. However, the former BUNK’D star avoided posting about her growing belly on social media. Nevertheless, in October, she was spotted in a parking lot in Los Angeles sporting a bulging belly, which was reported by the Shade Room.
Meanwhile, once Skai confirmed her pregnancy, Instagram pages like The Neighbourhood Talk uploaded the news along with a picture of Skai and a partial picture of her alleged partner.
Once the photo went viral, netizens took to the comment section of the post to react to the same. One user even noted that her rumored partner looks a lot like the deceased Disney star Cameron Boyce.
For the unphased, Boyce died on July 30, 2019, due to epilepsy at the age of 20. Cameron and Skai were cast in the Disney sitcom Jessie in 2011. Even though the show concluded in 2015, they stayed in touch. Following his death, Skai opened up about him in an October 5, 2020, interview with ET and said:
“He was in my life for half of my life, which is crazy. We built up this bond for years and years and years.”
Meanwhile, other netizens also reacted to the news. Many took to The Shade Room’s Instagram post and congratulated her and one even spoke up for her against all the backlash she has been getting due to her pregnancy.
On the other hand, however, not everyone was supportive of Jackson. Many condemned her for not getting married and said that it was “insane” to have a kid with a “boyfriend.” One even alleged that she is with her partner only because he looks like “Cameron Boyce.”

The pregnancy confirmation came after Skai Jackson was seen in Los Angeles showing off her baby bump. Jackson was always open about her opinion on motherhood. As the actress discussed her tight relationship with her mother, Kiya Cole, who raised her as a single mother, she told PEOPLE on February 27, 2023:
“[My mom] always taught me to stand up for myself, stand up for what I believe in and fight for what is right. I thank her for that because without her, I probably wouldn’t have a lot of the confidence that I do now.”
She further said that being a role model comes with “a lot of pressure.” She then continued:
“At the end of the day, I look at myself as the regular person that people just happen to like or enjoy…. It’s very important for me to put out the right message, be positive at all times and give my fans great advice. Let them know that anything that they want to do in life, they can achieve it.”
The pregnancy news came 3 months after the Jessie alum was arrested for domestic abuse in August. At the time, Skai Jackson reportedly got into a fight with her partner at Universal CityWalk in Hollywood, California.
The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department claimed that she was not prosecuted, although she pushed her partner. Her representative told PEOPLE in September:
“Skai is relieved that the investigation revealed that this was nothing more than a misunderstanding. We appreciate that the DA determined very quickly that there should be no charges of any kind. Skai looks forward to putting this behind her.”
On the other hand, Skai Jackson hasn’t revealed the name of her partner or any details about him as of yet.
