The eight best players on the men’s Tennis circuit this season will descend upon Turin, Italy for the 2024 ATP Finals, beginning on Sunday at the Inalpi Arena.
Record seven-time winner Novak Djokovic has decided to skip the event to allow himself more time to recover from injury. The likes of home favourite Jannik Sinner and Spanish star Carlos Alcaraz thus have a better chance of winning their first ATP Finals title.
Two-time winner Alexander Zverev and 2020 champion Daniil Medvedev are the only two singles players competing in this year’s edition to have won the season finale previously.
Also in the fray is US Open runner-up Taylor Fritz and former world No 2 Casper Ruud. Andrey Rublev will be competing in his fifth consecutive ATP Finals while Australia’s Alex de Minaur has made the cut for the first time.
Meanwhile, former champions Grigor Dimitrov of Bulgaria and Greek star Stefanos Tsitsipas have been named as reserves.
