A terrible mistake by VAR? Robert Lewandowski was denied a goal

Robert Lewandowski can be said to be extremely unlucky. The Barcelona sniper was, in bizarre circumstances, deprived of his number fifteen goal in LaLiga in the away match against Real Sociedad.

The team led by Hansi Flick aimed to quickly take the lead in the match ending the thirteenth series of games for the Spanish championship.

It actually achieved its goal thanks to Robert Lewandowski successfully placing the ball into the net of the Basque team in the thirteenth minute of the match.

The joy of the Polish national team captain after scoring a goal did not last long, however, because the VAR analysis showed an offside position for the experienced striker.

The first television replays did not confirm this state of affairs, which could suggest that the 36-year-old was deprived of a correctly recorded goal.

Only after a few minutes, a line appeared on the screen, indicating that the referee had allegedly made the correct decision, because Lewandowski had beaten the defender guarding him by… the toe of his shoe.

However, there are many suggestions that the stuck studs belong to Real Sociedad defender Nayef Aguerd. The whole situation raises very serious doubts.
