This Sunday, November 10, alongside Sandrine Bonnaire and Emmanuel Moire, Christophe Michalak will be the guest ofA Sunday in the countrysideFrédéric Lopez's show known for sparking new confidences. The opportunity to learn more about the famous pastry chef, who is – literally – a sugar daddy. Perhaps he will confide in him about his difficult childhood, or even about the trials he has had to face recently. In any case, the bucolic setting of the show will not disorient him much, he who has settled in a little corner of paradise nestled in the heart of nature: Maussane-les-Alpilles, the village “with a thousand fountains”endowed with preserved and authentic architecture, as well as a rich culture readily celebrated.
A true icon of the gentle Provençal way of life, this small town of 2,000 inhabitants, which stretches in the heart of the Vallée des Baux, was able to seduce the world pastry champion with its landscapes as sumptuous as they are soothing, but also by the delicate products it offers. In an interview with France 3 Provence-Alpes-Côte-d'Azur, Christophe Michalak confided : “I’m definitely the happiest guy in the world”evoking his encounters with local artisans who continue to inspire his incredible creativity. From exceptional olive oil produced by his neighbor to the delights of Pierre Lilamand, a confectioner for five generations in the neighboring town, Saint-Rémy-de-Provence, when the talented chef leaves to recharge his batteries in Maussane-les-Alpilles , he delights, in the first sense of the word.

Christophe Michalak: this moment when he feared losing his wife
A sweetness of life and a serenity which fills Christophe Michalak, who really needs it after the very serious alert which turned his life upside down last spring. In July, the wife of the pastry chef, Delphine Michalak, spoke in the columns of Gala regarding this terrible ordeal: “I had a completely unexpected and unexplained hemorrhage from a meningioma. I thought I would die of pain. They had to operate urgently and cut open my head.” If the couple had complete confidence in the surgeon responsible for saving the young woman's life, Christophe Michalak had revealed frankly that he was very afraid for the one who made him “a better man”. Fortunately for the couple, this terrifying episode is now history.
