Already a hitch from the start of the Vendée Globe 2024. While the fleet left at 1:02 p.m., this Sunday, November 10, one of the 40 skippers entered, Conrad Colman, directly turned around towards the port of Les Sables- d’Olonne.

Colman makes delayed start

For the moment, nothing has been communicated regarding the reasons for this return to port. We should know more in the coming hours.

Conrad Colman (40), who has American and New Zealand nationality, did not even cross the starting line and headed towards land. The skipper of MS Amlin will therefore take a delayed start, that is to say that it “may take the start later after agreement with the race director at the time indicated to him by the race committee”as explained in the Vendée Globe notice of race.

Colman will have ten days maximum to start again.
