He met with elected officials and municipal police.
On the occasion of an official visit to the department, on Thursday, November 7, the mayor, Jean-Charles Moriconi, had the honor of welcoming to the commune, Nicolas Daragon, Minister Delegate for Daily Security of the ministry of the Interior. The latter, accompanied by Thierry Bonnier, prefect of Pyrénées-Orientales, surrounded by parliamentarians, mayors of the department and regional and departmental elected officials, wanted to meet the municipal police force.
The mayor presented to the State representative the staff and resources deployed by the municipality as well as the shared police force put in place in 2022 with the municipalities of Canohès, Ponteilla-Nyls and Llupia.
The visit continued with a round table in the town hall in the presence of many elected officials from the department on the subject of municipal police which are a privileged relay in the security chain.
The mayor, Jean-Charles Moriconi, expressed to the minister the honor he had given the town through his visit and the interest he had in the measures put in place.
