the actress Geneviève Grad, interpreter of “Douliou douliou Saint-Tropez”, has died

Geneviève Grad, the singer of the title “Douliou douliou Saint-Tropez”, the cult song from the film “Le gendarme de Saint-Tropez”, died on the night of Thursday November 7 to Friday November 8, at the age of 80 .

Suffering from cancer, Geneviève died “at the end of a courageous fight against cancer”, revealed her husband Jean Guillaume to AFP.

In “The Gendarme of Saint-Tropez”, Geneviève Grad played Nicole Cruchot, the daughter of the head marshal Ludovic Cruchot, played in 1965 by Louis de Funès. She was also seen in the sequels “The Constable in New York” and “The Constable Gets Married”.
