At the end of the day and during the night from Friday to Saturday, “storms, sometimes strong and accompanied by heavy rain, break out in the Gulf of Lion, particularly from the east of Aude to Hérault, on the coast and in the 'interior,' warns the forecaster.

Up to 180 mm of rain in places

Heavy rain, sometimes taking a stormy character, is expected until Saturday morning in Languedoc and even Roussillon.

Accumulations which could “reach 80 to 120 mm” and locally up to “150/180 mm”, warns Météo France.

The damage will shift eastwards on Saturday. In the north-east of Corsica (2B), significant accumulations are possible. However, the forecaster warns, the intensity of the precipitation could lead to a worsening of vigilance.
