Jon Jones
Let's start with the elite of MMA, described as the greatest of all time (GOAT) by Dana White himself: the legendary Jon Jones. Former light heavyweight champion and now at the head of the heavyweights after an express victory against Ciryl Gane, the one we nickname Bones will defend his belt against former champion Stipe Miocic on November 17, in main event of UFC 309. In the meantime, Jones is in the casting of The Cagegiving a certainly international dimension to the Netflix series.
Georges Saint-Pierre
The other UFC legend to have participated in the filming of The Cageit is the Canadian Georges Saint-Pierre. A true reference for several generations of combat sports fans, the one we nicknamed Rush during his prime also makes an appearance in the series.
Cyril Gane
A few weeks before his big comeback against Volkov, the Good Kid Ciryl Gane also makes an appearance in The Cage. Like our colleagues from RMC Sport explain it, ''the French UFC fighter had fun playing his own role and appeared several times with the hero''.
Salahdine Parnasse
The new French series from Netflix can also count on the presence of the nugget Salahdine Parnasse. As a reminder, the double champion of the Polish organization KSW will defend his lightweight belt against Wilson Varela on December 20 at the Défense Arena in Paris.
The series uses the universe and codes of MMA as a backdrop, many other professional fighters are also in the game.
