Roma’s report cards – Flashes of pure quality from Baldanzi. For Svilar, a decisive unsuccessful exit

Scoreboard: Royale Union Saint-Gilloise 1-1

Svilar 5 – Big mistake during the Belgian draw, given that up to that point the home team had never threatened.

Mancini 7 – Convincing in defense and decisive when he goes up to hurt the opponent’s goal: prone to heavy goals, today’s one unfortunately only resulted in one point.

Cristante 6.5 – He returns to playing central and does so convincingly. Hummels’ ninety minutes on the bench will cause discussion, but the Italian does not demerit at all.

Angelino 6 – He performs well in a role which is not his in any case but which he is slowly becoming familiar with.

Literacy 6 – Match without any particular worries for the right winger, given that Union attacks mostly on the left when they restart at speed.

Kone 6.5 – In the second half he takes center stage physically and the midfield improves noticeably.

The Fairy 5.5 – In midfield, Roma suffer from the physicality of the Belgians and the superior quality of the Frenchman does not come out during the 55 minutes that Juric gives him. From 55′ Pisilli 6 – Adds the usual dose of concreteness to Roma’s midfield.

El Shaarawy 5.5 – Inaccurate up front and struggling to make defensive recoveries, this time as fifth he isn’t fully convincing. From 80′ Soulè sv.

Pellegrini 6,5 – He assisted Mancini’s header: a pearl that livens up a rather anonymous match for the Giallorossi captain.

Baldanzi 6.5 – The best on the pitch, goals aside, for his team: all the accelerations of the Giallorossi team start from his left foot, including a sensational post that would have deserved better luck. From 79′ Zalewski sv.

Shomurodov 5 – Harmless for the yellow-blue defense, which is positioned high but is never pierced. From 55′ Dovbyk 6 – Increases the physicality of the attack but in fact never finishes towards the opponent’s goal.

Trainer: Ivan Juric 6 – A little broth that doesn’t resolve the precarious situation of his bench: it’s worth adding that Saint Gilloise is still a complicated field in which very few teams will be able to do better than Roma. The B version of the team fielded, however, is only convincing at times.
