As the heartbreaking “Will Hunting” airs this evening on TV, we offer you a quiz on one of its main actors, the late Robin Williams.
It's one of Robin Williams' best films and one of his most moving performances: Will Hunting can be seen again this evening on Chérie 25. The ideal opportunity to dive back into the career of the actor who was awarded the Oscar for Best Supporting Actor for his portrayal of Sean Maguire, a widowed psychologist who befriends a gifted rebel played by Matt Damon.
And it is through a quiz where you will have to recognize 10 of his films that we invite you to celebrate Robin Williams, who died 10 years ago. A sad anniversary which gave rise to numerous tributes from stars last August. But before playing with the actor's iconic characters, here are some filming anecdotes about Will Hunting.
Did you know?
The art of improvising
The scene where Sean and Will are in the office and the psychologist starts talking about his deceased wife's flatulence was improvised by Robin Williams, and that's probably why Matt Damon laughs so much. If you look closely you will notice that the camera is moving, probably because the cameraman is laughing too!
Oscar winners Matt Damon and Ben Affleck
Actors in the film, childhood friends Matt Damon and Ben Affleck are also the screenwriters. A first four-handed writing experience which resulted in an Oscar!
A complete artist
It was the film's director, Gus Van Sant, who painted the picture resting in Sean Maguire's (Robin Williams) office.
