“Cat’s Eyes”: TF1 unveils the first images of its new event series

Were you familiar with the manga or animated series Cat’s Eye before filming this series?

“No, not at all. Subsequently, I watched the cartoons and especially read the manga because that’s what the series was mainly adapted from. But, it’s not a copy and paste However, the series that you will soon discover on television is a prequel to what we find in the manga. We discover how these three sisters became the Cat’s Eyes.

How do you prepare for a role like this?

“I worked on the character in a psychological but also physical way. Sylia is a pro in Aikido. I therefore trained in the discipline with an excellent coach. Fortunately, I am very athletic basically. I also did a a little more muscle strengthening so as not to hurt myself on set.”

The filming seemed, in fact, quite physical…

“It was the most intense shoot I have experienced in my career. It lasted five and a half months, which is already a very long time. The filming conditions were quite harsh. We mainly filmed at night in . And, in winter, it’s quite cold, especially at night. You have to be able to manage both fatigue and the cold. I felt like I was jet-lagged. It was much calmer. that when we turn the day.”

Did you have a stunt double?

“Yes, obviously! I tried to do as much as possible, like my partners. But, there are things that were impossible to achieve. Although I took Aikido lessons, I cannot become a pro in a few weeks. Camille Lou, for her part, would never have been able to climb the Eiffel Tower! She would have liked to, I’m sure, but it would have been difficult! (laughs)

Who is Constance Labbé: “Being an actress was not obvious to me”

Does the media coverage surrounding this highly anticipated series put pressure on you?

“Yes, enormous pressure. Especially since we are tackling a brand that already exists and has been a hit. We hope to live up to expectations.”

How did you get out of this shoot?

“Exhausted! (laughs) For the first time, I played a sister. It was interesting for me to play this relationship, to understand the jealousies between sisters, the resentments, the love that binds them too. I only have brothers so it was a bit of an unknown for me.”

You are the sister of Guillaume Labbé, actor who played in The school of life, I promise you or even Escort Boys. Is comedy in your DNA?

“Not at all. No one in our family did comedy. We kind of found ourselves doing it by chance. For me, it came quite late. I studied law, I wanted to be a lawyer. Then, I realized that I preferred to play a character than to defend it. It’s true that I spent my time dressing up and doing shows when I was a child, but I never imagined becoming an actress. what I like is understanding the roles I’m going to play and living different lives.”
