Résumé

In the aftermath of the American presidential elections, writers provide their perspective on the event and the place of literature in major political issues. Douglas Kennedy, author of “Ailleurs, chez moi” published by Belfond, and Eddy L. Harris, American essayist, author of “American Confession” published by Liana Levi, give their impressions of the results. The French novelists Marie Vingtras (“The Fierce Souls”, Editions de l'Olivier) and Bénédicte Dupré la Tour (“Promised Lands”, Editions du Panseur) also react to the outcome of the ballot, as does Katherine Pancol (“The Plane Trees of Manhattan », at Albin Michel). The United States specialist Philippe Labro, author of “Deux gimlets sur la 5e avenue”, published by Gallimard, and Marc Dugain, author of “The plane, Poutine, America…”, published by Albin Michel, also provide their analysis.
