A detailed map of industrial territories

Since November 2023, 183 Territories have been labeled, i.e. 630 intermunicipalities and municipalities spread across the 18 French regions. This support will make it possible to structure the key actions of these industrial territories around four major axes: land, skills, innovation and energy transition.

In order to help public actors integrate industrial development into their regional planning policy, but also to attract businesses to these territories, the ANCT has joined forces with INSEE to offer a socio-economic photograph labeled territories. This map will be presented in the form of “portraits” that can be viewed and downloaded. on the ANCT website.

This initiative aims to provide in-depth knowledge of the industrial territories through around twenty key indicators which will appear in these portraits, and which are decisive for understanding the industrial challenges of the territories concerned. Thanks to a better characterization of the industrial fabric, jobs, employees and the active population, this data should make it possible to support the action plans carried out by elected officials and manufacturers.
