In the United States, the presidential election was punctuated by bomb threats.
Alerts reported in at least seven states, most often in polling stations or schools, but which did not really succeed in disrupting the vote.
No threat has been proven to the public, assure the American authorities: the FBI reports false alerts, claiming that these threats came from Russian electronic domains.
These incidents did not prevent voters from going massively to the polls in Georgia, which recorded record participation, and where local authorities confirmed the identification of the threats, while remaining cautious, specifying that their origin could be falsified. In Maine, police received calls for interventions that were also unjustified.
Pennsylvania, Maine, Arizona, Michigan, Wisconsin and Ohio were not spared either.
