Lhe race for the American presidency is not over, but small successes can already be noted in both camps.

The three Republican victories

Donald Trump first won the first of the Swing States, North Carolina, which had already voted for him in 2020 and brought him sixteen electors, a success which singularly darkened the possibilities of victory for Kamala Harris. The Republican candidate subsequently won Georgia and its sixteen electors: a significant success for him, this state having, in 2020, voted for Democrat Joe Biden.

The Republicans also secured control of the Senate with two crucial victories: those of Bernie Moreno in Ohio, Jim Justice in West Virginia, and Deb Fischer, who retained her seat in Nebraska.
