Film-maker Cullen Hoback explores the rise of the open-source cryptocurrency and its cultural impact, and attempts to uncover the enigmatic identity of bitcoin’s creator, “Satoshi Nakamoto”, fingering Canadian crypto developer Peter Todd as the prime suspect. Interestingly, having initially dismissed the claim, Todd has since gone into hiding. AC

Sue Perkins’ Big Adventure: to Istanbul

Another week, another Sue Perkins travelogue. This particular jaunt takes her from Paris to Istanbul on the same route taken by the Orient Express. Before boarding a train, she necks absinthe, walks the runway at Paris fashion week and goes roller skating. HR

After the US withdrew from Afghanistan in 2021, Ibrahim Nash’at spent a year under hostile guard following two Taliban leaders. With the constant threat of being killed if he steps out of line, Nash’at witnesses the repair and repainting of helicopters and fighter jets sabotaged and abandoned by US troops. Hannah Verdier
