A pre-match where football gave way to emotion in Madrid. On the occasion of the Champions League match between Real Madrid and AC Milan, the Estadio Santiago de Bernabéu paid a vibrant tribute to the 217 temporary victims of the terrible floods which affected eastern Spain and in particular the Valencia region, which Real Madrid had to face last weekend.
A giant flag of the Valencian Community in the stands
And the tribute began even before the two teams entered the pitch. Indeed, Real Madrid and AC Milan were wearing a t-shirt with clear and precise messages. « We are all Valencia » for the people of Madrid, « We are all Valencia » for the Rossoneri, “We are all Valencia” in French.
An even more important tribute for Real Madrid which was indirectly affected by this unprecedented natural disaster in Spain. Indeed, Carlo Ancelotti's team had to travel to the Estadio de Mestalla to challenge Valencia FC on Saturday November 2. A match ultimately, and quite logically, canceled and postponed to a later date.

Perhaps touched by this tribute, the Madrilenians conceded the opening score quickly with a headed goal from Malick Thiaw (12').
