The death which occurred this Monday in Paris of the former Minister of Finance and Budget, Mamadou Moustapha Ba, continues to cause reaction among Senegalese political leaders. Like the others, Guy Marius Sagna gave a testimony about the late minister.
“We were on completely opposite sides. We crossed the sword of dialogue in committee and in the hemicycle. He never dodged the questions I raised. His answers as Minister of Finance and Budget did not always suit me,” declared the former MP in search of another MP position under the banner of the Pastef coalition.

“But I felt a form of astonishment – of respect – at his endurance and his courtesy in the chamber. He was one of the rare voices with whom discussing still had meaning in the National Assembly of Senegal during the 14th legislature.
May his soul rest in peace! May our Lord welcome him into his paradise!
I offer my condolences to his family,” adds Guy Marius Sagna.
