The Michelin factory, which had up to 1,500 workers in 1973 in its Prat factory, in Vannes (Morbihan), has just announced this Tuesday, November 5, 2024, the closure of its site. 1962. On March 17, the municipal council ceded 18 hectares of Prat to a firm “which enjoys the best reputation in all respects”, but whose name is kept secret. The City is committed to carrying out major development work on the future industrial zone (87 ha): networks, leveling, railway connection, road development. In September, the factory was built. Vannes was in competition with Niort and Châteauroux.
