“I needed to rebuild myself”: Sara Forestier reveals having been “slapped” by an actor on set

This Wednesday, November 6, the feature film will be released in theaters Three Friends by Emmanuel Mouret, in which India Hair, Camille Cottin and Sara Forestier play three women, each with their own vision of love.

Sara Forestier is back in the cinema!

The one that was revealed in the film The Dodge by Abdellatif Kechiche also wanted to share his impressions on this new cinematographic work.

This film is like a romantic comedy with three bands, it's a kind of charade as you said. What I find very beautiful is that we must be wary of the apparent lightness, even with the people we meet, people who are apparently light, people who always like to speak. light, who like to provoke. In fact, it is a mask of great depth. These are people who are in fact very deep and Mouret's cinema is like that. It's a very pleasant film with love stories, characters who are very much in love, who betray each other.” she confided.

The actress slapped by an actor on set

A few minutes later, the 38-year-old actress responded to Yann Barthès, who pointed out that she had not appeared in a film for several years. He then asked him if he had missed the 7th art. “No, already, there's more to life than just professional life. I needed to rebuild myself. (…) I had been hit by an actor, on a film, I had been slapped and I had left the film, I remember you asked me the question, I had gone to the police station, I had left the film. We talk very little about it for women, trauma. There is everything afterwards where you have to rebuild yourself, so I took this time, I filed a complaint. (…) Damaged women, we like to say that they are crazy (…) and you have to take the time to rebuild yourself, to refocus on yourself, to find pleasure again and I really waited to find a project with people who were caring and that's what happened on this film (Three friends, editor’s note) and I did so well to wait and I came across such a caring team. (…) This is really the way we should make cinema…” she said.

Sara Forestier did not disclose the name of the actor who attacked her, nor on which set it happened.
