The theater, cinema and television actor, Djamel Hamouda, famous for his roles in numerous television series, died Monday following a long illness at the age of 70, we learned from his surroundings.
Born on December 17, 1954 in Skikda, Djamel Hamouda trained at the Higher Institute of Dramatic Arts and Dance, from which he graduated with an acting diploma in 1974.
Despite his roles in theater and television since the 1970s, the deceased did not make his “professional” artistic debut until later, in 1977, during which time he had worked as an actor at the Annaba regional theater and as a teacher. of drama at the Annaba Municipal School of Music and Drama from 1978 to 1984, before training in directing in Moscow, Russia.
He also held several positions of responsibility, notably as director of the Annaba Palace of Culture and Arts and artistic advisor to the Annaba Regional Theater.
As an actor, Djamel Hamouda was cast in several plays including “El Mahgour” (1978) by Malek Bouguermouh and “Bouderbala” (1984) by Ahmed Khoudi.
He also wrote and directed several theater shows such as “Kahwa wa latay” (1987) and “Sud” (1990), awarded “best script” at the Professional Theater Festival in 1993.
On television, he wrote the scripts for several series including “La direction du vent” (1998), “Chouf Laajeb” (2001) and “Trois dans l'impasse” (2008).
In front of the camera, Djamel Hamouda has participated in numerous films as an actor in “Aissa El Djermouni” (1982), “Rih Tour” (1992) by Aziz Choulah and “Le Choix” (1997) by Ammar Mohcène.
His roles played in several television series including “El michwar” (1996), “El “Michwar 2” (1998), “El-Ghayeb” (The absent, 2002) and “Meeting with destiny” (2007), have made Djamel Hamouda a famous actor.
