Denis Franoux, 56, history and geography teacher at the Jean de Pange high school in Sarreguemines, was found lifeless in the Blies-Ebersing forest this Monday, November 4 in the afternoon. A hunt had been organized with relatives, colleagues, residents of his village and the police.

Highly appreciated by his students and the teaching team, Denis Franoux should have returned to high school after the All Saints' Day vacation. The history and geography teacher, who regularly practiced sport, set off again on Sunday morning on the Dieblingeoise. In the afternoon, he decided to go into the forest with his dog. But the father never came home.
The police were notified early in the evening and initial searches took place with the help of the firefighters. In vain. A specialized search dog came as reinforcements Monday morning, and an initial lead indicated that the missing man might not be far away.
With the support of the town hall, a hunt was organized this Monday afternoon. About fifty people responded to the call. Relatives, colleagues, friends and residents. After 1h30 in the forest, a man found the lifeless body of the history and geography teacher. The dog was recovered unharmed. In total, 20 gendarmes and 7 vehicles were mobilized to find him.
