A 49-year-old hunter was found dead during a hunt in Coly-Saint-Amand (Dordogne) on Sunday. An investigation has been opened to determine the circumstances of the tragedy. The prosecution does not rule out any leads.
In the town of Coly-Saint-Amand (Dordogne), there is incomprehension. Hunters leading a hunt on Sunday, November 3, said they heard a gunshot. Shortly after, they discovered one of the participants on the ground, suffering from a “gunshot wound to the abdomen”.
According to France Bleu Périgord, the people present tried for a long time to resuscitate the injured hunter. Despite the intervention of firefighters and emergency services, the victim died on the spot. An investigation is opened by the Périgueux public prosecutor's office to determine the precise circumstances of the death. The hunters present during the hunt were interviewed by the gendarmes on Sunday.
