TESTIMONIALS – This Monday, the ZTL comes into force and prohibits access to “transit” vehicles in the area concerned, which brings together the districts of central Paris. For the town hall, there is no reason to worry.
It's now official. After several years of procrastination, the Paris town hall and the police headquarters have succeeded in establishing a limited traffic zone (ZTL) in the heart of the capital. From this Monday, this 5.5 km zone2 which extends from Place de la Concorde to Place de la Bastille will no longer be authorized for all vehicles. Only emergency vehicles, buses, taxis, people with reduced mobility, residents, workers and traffic «destination»namely those who have a departure and arrival point in the sector, will be authorized to go within this perimeter. Exit, therefore, the passages “transit” by car or on two wheels, under penalty of a fine of 135 euros.
