UNITED STATES – An internal dialogue, not without humor. Kamala Harris made a surprise appearance on the show Saturday Night Live on NBC this Saturday, November 2, with a surprising staging. On the set of the show, the Democratic candidate faced… herself, or rather actress Maya Rudolph who played her double for a few minutes, giving rise to a comical scene. Enough to make one last campaign move before the election on November 5.

The two women, dressed and dressed identically, sat face to face, giving the impression of a real mirror, as you can see in the video below. Kamala Harris then declared “to herself”, solemnly: “I’m happy to see you Kamala. I'm just here to remind you that you're going to make it, because you can do something your opponent can't do: you can open doors.”

After this statement, the Democratic candidate burst out laughing. This little sentence refers to his Republican opponent, Donald Trump, who had difficulty opening the door of a garbage truck during a campaign stunt last Wednesday. The former president of the United States first appeared to miss the truck's door handle, then nearly slipped on the wet ground. The scene was immediately taken up on social networks.

Kamala Harris also did not miss the opportunity to respond to Donald Trump's mockery of her laughter, which she herself made fun of during this short skit. Faced with her reflection played by Maya Rudolph, she once again called for “stay calm and carry on” in the direction of the Democrats, to avoid “the drama” of an election of Donald Trump.

This surprise appearance in this last episode of Saturday Night Live before election day had not been announced and largely surprised the public. The vice president was originally scheduled to travel to Detroit this Saturday, but ultimately took a detour to New York. While the polls are extremely close, everything is possible to convince the last undecided voters.
