Cyril Féraud made his debut in Everyone wants to take his place on September 9, 2024, succeeding Jarry, who chose to refocus on his family life and his show. To mark the occasion, Cyril Féraud opened his first episode with a warm tribute: “Before we begin, a big heart for Jarry whom I kiss very much and whom I thank for entrusting me with the reins of this beautiful baby.” By taking over this emblematic France 2 show, the host himself left the controls of Slam to Théo Curin. A new challenge for the host who had managed to find a place of choice in his previous show then in 100% logical.

In an interview published on October 28, 2024 on Tele-Leisurethe host explained the developments he wanted to introduce into the show to meet viewers' expectations. “I am very attentive to what viewers say on social networks”, he said, before detailing the changes, including reducing music questions and adding a fairer tie-breaking question in the event of a tie. As for the end of year celebrations, Cyril Féraud is preparing a special project: “I really want us to organize a special show soon enough with the return of the greatest champions of Everyone wants to take their place […]. We are currently thinking about how we could develop such a mechanism with, I hope, a release for the end of year holidays.” This project brings together both nostalgia and festive spirit, an ideal combination for this period.
