What crazy situations at the end of KVM – Union. Some home fans and Anthony Moris misbehaved. Besnik Hasi had a clever response.
Lion Lauberbach had just missed a huge chance to score 1-1 in extra time. It was a goal kick for Union. Anthony Moris bowed out. Cramps or wasting time? Some KVM supporters behind the goal saw the latter and had apparently watched the Koppenbergcross on Friday. They threw cups of beer at the goalkeeper. Stewards retrieved one of the beer throwers from the audience.
There were only a few minutes left to play, but referee Bert Put stopped the match and sent everyone inside. That did not happen without commotion. Before everyone left the field, the puppets started dancing. Moris suddenly pushed his beer-soaked shirt into the face of KV Mechelen coach Besnik Hasi.
Don’t begrudge Hasi for beer throwers
Of course, Hasi was asked about this at his press conference after the match. “Nothing actually happened. I completely disapprove of throwing cups. Moris experiences this perhaps every week. If I meet him tomorrow or the day after tomorrow, I’ll go and have a pint with him. That’s no problem for me. He saw me the referee stepped and probably thought I was going to protest.”
