Youssou Ndour comes out of his silence just a few days before the legislative elections. The famous singer decided not to give voting instructions, believing that it would have no impact.
“Since 2019, 2020, I have taken a step back and understood certain things. Above all, I realized that no one needs to be influenced. In this context, it is best to let everyone make their own decisions. This is what I decided to do,” Youssou Ndour confided in an interview with The Observer.
The former minister-advisor to Macky Sall also added: “Trying to change the situation would have served no purpose. We were heading towards elections, and the results of the ballot boxes would determine the outcome. Moreover, a new president has been elected, Bassirou Diomaye Faye, to whom I send my greetings,” explained the former ally of Macky Sall.
“Let everyone take their responsibilities and vote with soul and conscience for the interest of the country,” reports Seneweb.
