Missing since October 26, the body of Alain B. was found on November 1, in Saint-Pierre-de-Rivière, a town located near Foix. The deceased victim was still in his car, down the road.

His relatives had been looking for him since October 26, when he no longer gave any sign of life. His body was found on November 1, at 6:54 p.m., in Saint-Pierre-de-Rivière, a few kilometers from Foix in Ariège.

Ten meters below the road

His car, a black Renault Laguna 3, was detected ten meters below a departmental road. The firefighters intervened at the request of the gendarmerie. They found that the 70-year-old victim was deceased and still trapped in his vehicle.

According to the ongoing investigation and the first findings made on site, “it is an accident. There is a small bend at this location, but the driver would have driven straight”, and therefore fell, comments the gendarmerie. The position of the car, located below, made it impossible to spot it by gendarmerie helicopters during the search.
